Fire!
So what better gift could a man get for Father's Day than fire?
The kids and I got Michael a new grill and fire ring for Father's Day.
What man can resist playing with fire? He is happy with his new "toys" and
I am happy that he is doing some of the cooking, even on Father's Day and
that some of the excess wood is being removed from our yard. Now to teach the
kids how to make a lightly golden brown marshmallow versus a char-grilled one.

I am also so grateful to have such a wonderful man to be the father of my children. I am so thankful God has helped him to be with us. It doesn't seem like that long ago that we were in the hospital dealing with his heart attack.
Hannah made a special cake for Michael.

Nice grill!!!
Ok, I immediately thought about those caveman geico commercials. LOL! That and the cavemen in "Night at the Museaum". "Quest for fire--OVER!" LOL!
We got a grill a few weeks ago and I love it. Used to be that I'd pull out the george foreman grill to cook everything, but it's so much easier to just go out onto the deck and cook up the meat. I love our new grill and so does dh.
The grill is great, but I'm probably even MORE impressed with the fire ring. My DH LOVED to burn sticks, small boxes, etc. in his "fire pit" at our old house. The fire ring would have been great at our new house. Enjoy!
The grill is great and I especially loved the picture of Dad with all the kids.
Isn't it great when a man can not only create fire, but do the cooking on it, too! I love summer BBQs.
Mmmmm the cake looks yummy! ;)
What do you use a fire pit for?
