Sweet taste of Chocolate!

A few weeks back we got the opportunity to go visit my brother and his girlfriend at their new house. We decided to take a short road trip together to Hershey Park. I love Hershey Park and haven't been there in about 6 years. I love how it is set out so that in every section there are rides for every level of "kid".

We explored Chocolate World and got to see the World's Largest Hershey's Kiss, which was over 15,000 pounds and was being entered into the Guiness Book of World Records on the day we visited.

Here Uncle Steve tried to show Lucas how to shoot a gun to try and win a prize. Neither had much success. "Aunt" Jennifer, as Hannah liked to call her, hit all three bottles off on her first shot and won a giant stuffed animal. She was proud to take it home to share with their two dogs.

We had a great time riding the rides like the Coal Miner and visiting with Hershey characters. The best part was seeing the kids spend a fun day with Uncle Steve and "Aunt" Jennifer, something that they haven't got to do in many years. Oh and the free samples of Hershey's chocolate were a nice treat during the day too!

Puppy Adventures

Tonight Parker decided to take Blizzard for a ride in his car. The dog actually seemed to really enjoy it.

On Wednesday morning, we were going away for awhile and we were going to leave Blizzard alone for the first time since we had got him. Hannah decided to calm him by making up a lullaby to make him sleep. Lucas joined in on the singing as well. A few minutes later, Parker comes running into me while I was at the computer and said in a very serious voice, "Mom, make Hannah and Lucas quit singing to the puppy. They're killing him with their singing". I just busted out laughing.

So the adventures with the new puppy continue. So far he has been a really good dog and we are enjoying him so much. He did give us a scare on Friday when he refused to eat the entire day and was very tired all day. Not sure if he had an upset stomach or just getting adjusted to life with us.

A Blizzard in July!

Blizzard, our American Eskimo puppy, arrived at our home on July 10th. We have been busy adjusting to the new puppy routine. So far (knock on wood), he is doing well. I slept on the couch last night near his crate just incase he cried all night. He gave one little whimper when we first put him in and then he managed to sleep through the night. That is until Lucas & Hannah woke us up at 6:00 a.m. to play with him. The cats aren't too sure what to make of him and seem to back away when he comes near. Kinda funny seeing a cat many times the size of the puppy backing away. The football is in the pictures to kinda show his size. He goes to the vet later this week, so I'll know then how big he is.
